CIS Announcements





Our lost and found has been moved to the Holford entry for easy access to find lost items.  There are lunch boxes, water bottles, hats and numerous coats and jackets.  Our offices are open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm if you would like to stop in and take a look.

Next week the Student Council will be selling Smens- smelly pens next week in the morning. $2/ Smen. We are limiting students to 2 per day


Calling all current 6th and 7th graders interested in joining 2022-2023 Student Council. Details are attached and you must join the Student Council google classroom Class code uwzngbt

📚LIBRARY: 5/9  All books are due back May 17! We have 130 late books so please turn in your overdue books. Students will only be able to check out one book at a time. Late notices and emails to parents will go out Wednesday so please return your books.

Leader Slips can be taken to the library (make sure you put your name on them) Gift Cards are $15 Plaza Lanes $10 Hollands per grade level 


8th grade boys go to the blacktop. 7th-4th grade boys will meet in the gym. 

Girls will meet at blacktop and walk to the grass.

Make sure you wear tennis shoes everyday to PE class.  Crocs, sandals, slides, boots, etc.  are not OK.  

HEALTH: Bring a writing utensil and headphones to class!

COUNSELOR:  Students, if you would like to meet with Mrs. Cherry, please fill out this form: Student Counseling. She will then email you with a time to meet.

🧶KNIT FOR A CAUSE (4/25): If you need any help from now until the end of the school year, send me an email or swing by before school.  Otherwise, enjoy some knitting over summer break, and I will see you next September for Knit for a Cause! 




COLOR GUARDAuditions for the 2022-2023 Color Guard will be held Wednesday, May 11-Friday May 13 from 3pm-5pm. Any 6th or 7th grader is eligible to audition. Please contact Mrs. Brent for more information



Track:  If you are done competing for the season, please bring your uniform to Mrs. Miller Room 124 (CPS- Kindergarten Hallway)


SPEECH:  See you in September 2022!

DRAMA:  Auditions for the MUSICAL will be next year in December.  


🏀GIRL’S BASKETBALL:   Coach Dalberg and Coach Deatherage will be hosting the Girls Basketball Camp for incoming 2nd to incoming 8th graders on May 31st, June 1st and June 2nd. 6th-8th grade camp runs from 9-10:30 am and 2nd-5th grade camp runs from 10:45-12:15pm each day. Sign Ups can be found on the Central 51 website under “Summer Sports Camps” or click HERE. Sign ups are due by Monday May 9th. 


DANCE : I still need a few uniforms/ bags/ poms etc. from last year’s squad
